Dear Friends, every choice has its own consequence. it is this consequence that usually influences the decision of our choice. To be a disciple of Jesus has its costs and rewards. The cost of discipleship demands super love, unflinching loyalty and total self emptying. It abhors tepid love, divided loyalty and contestable self -gains. Our love for God and his course should supercede all other human love. In fact the love of God purifies and enriches our earthly love. This love impels us to hold nothing of our own but to give all in generosity for the sake of God’s kingdom. Nothing that is offered for the sake and spread of God’s kingdom, even the most seemly insignificant ones will be rewarded. in other words, every charitable act of love merits us divine favour either in this life or life after. May God grant us the courage to follow him as it demands. Happy Sunday

And how does the ‘greatest rule’ of ‘love one another as thyself’ applies to the love of God?
