Dear friends, every parting gift is a communication of intense love between the lover and the beloved. Such gift is always a reminiscence of the love experience between the two. The body and blood of Christ present in the Eucharist under the auspices of bread and wine is God’s gift of himself to us his beloved. His body and blood is not a reminiscence of the love story between us. The body and blood is a reenactment of his immeasurable of love. He knows we are always in need of his presence. Through the creative power of God’s word, the bread and wine becomes his real body and blood that he may abide with in a more profound manner. May our encounter with him in Eucharist breed not contempt or over familiarity but reverence and devotion. Amen Happy Solemnity of the body and blood of Christ.!
