Dear friends, Jesus Christ our saviour is a king not of the way the world would want it. But the King who would offer himself as a ransom for sinners who didn’t merit pardon. He has started his earthly transition to his Glory, in obedience that not his will maybe done but the will of the Father be done and fulfilled.
On his road to glory were replicated all sorts of human maneuvering, deceit, injustice, violence and betrayal. Pontius Pilate preferred to safe guard his position and career as a governor to not standing for the truth that Jesus was innocent of his accusation. Simon of Cyrene though constricted to carry the cross, accepted to be an example of true disciple of Christ i .e one who takes his cross and following daily. Who am I on the road to Christ’s glory? May God’s grace save us from spiritual cowardice and religion of convenience and help us to be obedient always to the will of God. Amen. Happy Sunday and Holy week
