Holy Spirit :The Spirit of new life

Dear friends, The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Blessed Trinity and promised  gift of the resurrected Jesus to his Apostles. The Apostles who received him never remained the same again. They were transformed from unlettered Galileans,   fearful Commons to bold and audacious  preachers. They were empowered to fearlessly proclaim Christ in a new language of love and unity. The breath of the Holy Spirit enlightened and enlivened them. Thus, they had a new life which only the Spirit of God can give. The same Spirit is always present in the Church and among us for we have all received him through the sacraments especially during our baptism and reconfirmed during confirmation. This is to say we have new life which we never had before. Again, we’re now charismatic because of the action of the Holy Spirit on us. There is no need of being jealous and envious of the other because we have our own gift from the same Holy Spirit. May God rekindle and renew us constantly that we may fan into flame the power of the Spirit among us for our sanctification and glory of his name. Amen. Happy Pentecost Sunday
