Dear friends, our Vocation and responsibility as a Christian is to be the salt and light of the world. This singular task presents to us the opportunity to always make a difference in our society. As salt of the earth, it is our duty to purify our society of spiritual impurities and preserve it against moral decay, corruption and spiritual dryness that is clipping into our societies. Our world seems to be tasteless and life meaningless because of hatred, violence and injustice we see around us. As salt, we are to add the flavour of love, justice and impress on people to open their hearts once again for God. A life without God will always be tasteless and meaningless. More so, as light of the world, we are to be guide and exemplary to others. Our lights should illumine the dark structures of social injustice and deceit in our world . May God give us the grace not to lose our taste as salt or extinguish or hide our light. May we be stable as the salt and burn brightly always. Amen Happy Sunday
