Dear Friends, our relationship with God may require us to make certain sacrifice. This sacrifice is one that demands our entire self. Such sacrifice may appear costly but God deserves more of those things precious to us. God has shown us the way in offering and sacrificing Jesus his only beloved Son on the tree of the Cross for our sake. God wants our total, undiluted and unstained faithfulness in our relationship with him . If we must be in real relationship with him, we must be ever willing to listen to his voice especially in his son Jesus Christ. This is my beloved son listen to him! one who listens to his voice and remained faithful to his words experiences or enjoys the beatific bliss of heaven. May God grant us the disposition of listening and remaining faithful to God’s words. Amen.Happy Sunday!
Today’s readings are well connected and better appreciated if we live them out. ‘Listening’ and ‘Sacrifice’ the two poles on which our lenten observance recline on. One who prays listens, one who fasts sacrifices, and who one gives alms listens and sacrifices.
