My dear friends, blindness is one of the bad impairment that can happen to anybody. For the blind, everything is in darkness. Even if he or she has a concept of beauty, whatever is beautiful will not be known by him physically. This is simply because he or she walks and lives in darkness. However,physical blindness is not the worst of things that can happen to anyone. Since the blind one can be fortunate in this world to live a holy life that will merit him heaven where his physical deficiencies will be made whole. The worst impairment is being spiritual blind. Such blindness deprives one of the knowledge of God who is source of all good things. And what is life without knowing God. Only Jesus who is the light that has come into the world can heal us from such blindness. He alone can enlighten us that we may grow in the knowledge of God. May God who is all lights enlighten the eyes of our mind today and always. Amen
N:B. My thoughts goes to all mothers today as we celebrate mothering Sunday. Motherhood is a gift from God. They are always our first love, teacher and friend.
