Saints Are Models

Dear friend,

In today’s world, many look up to movie stars, artists, athletes, or social media figures as models of success. They often inspire admiration for their fame, beauty, or achievements. Yet, beyond the spotlight and applause, these examples rarely touch the deepest longing of the human heart—the desire for meaning, virtue, and lasting joy.

The saints, on the other hand, are real models. They are not known for glamour or popularity but for their love, faith, humility, and courage. They are our brothers and sisters who allowed the light of Christ to shine through their ordinary lives. Their greatness lies not in what the world esteems, but in their fidelity to God in every circumstance. The saints show us that holiness is not an unreachable ideal; it is a life open to grace, lived with sincerity and compassion.

Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of All Saints to honour all who have walked this path of holiness before us. It is a day that reminds us that heaven is our destiny, where we are called to. The saints form a great cloud of witnesses who encourage us to persevere in faith, to love deeply, and to hope steadfastly in the promises of God. May the witness of the saints strengthen our resolve to live as children of light, and may their prayers draw us closer to the joy of heaven.

All you holy men and women, pray for us!
